1.....and my first GIVEAWAY!!!!!!!!

This is it, my last day before R-day.  I'm so excited! Still have a few things to get ready, like music and a tracking pattern.  At least I know what I'm wearing. I wish I had this amazing outfit for the race, but I don't.  Really, I'm just wearing the same thing I wear all the time.
T-shirt, some pants that I know my sister will recognize and two(yes, two) sports bras.  I will, however, be sporting a new addition I  got last week.
If you look closely  at my outfit you *might* notice I have no pockets. None at all, which really isn't that unusual for workout clothes, especially ones as old as mine.  So I've had this dilema: I love my phone for runkeeper and music, but where to put it? I can't carry it in my hand, I've done that and well.....Here
Remember the two sports bras?  Can you guess where I put my phone? Yeah, right between the two.  Not the best place (moisture anyone?) but I really didn't want to make it worse than it already was.  Needless to say, I have more than one reason not to run in the rain.

That was my situation.  Till last week.

I have a new piece of running gear!  The wonderful people over at Spibelt gave me the opportunity to review one of their products.  I chose the SPIband.  I'm not quite ready to try a belt, though if they are anything like the band, I might just try it soon.

Here is the official description from the website:
The new SPIbandTM is designed with the same guarantee as the SPIbelt, it does not bounce, and it’s much roomier than it looks. It is made with a special water resistant material.  Perfect for those who like to carry their iPodTM, GuTM packs, phone, keys, etc. around their arm while running or doing other activities. Fits snug yet comfortable and is a great way to store personal items.

Made with a black water resistant material. One size - fits biceps 9"-16".

So what did I think?  Well, When I opened my package, my first thought was, "There is no way my brick of a phone will fit in there, let alone anything else."  I was wrong.  I also got my keys and two packages of fruit snacks.  Nice!
All of this in that little bag?
Yep, it fits
The first time I wore it I made a bit of a mistake.  I put it too low on my arm.  After a few minutes a little sore developed and it's still there.  However, all I did was move the band up a bit higher and I haven't had a problem since.  I've worn it on both my runs and pretty much all day a few times just to make sure it was user error....  It was, I'm not the brightest bulb.
It used to look much worse

Other things I really liked about the SPIband:
-Wide strap:  Most bands I've used are about an inch wide and cut into my not so small arm.  This one was pretty comfortable
-Velcro sections:  Instead of having velcro along the whole band, there are strip at intervals again, nice and comfortable, no stiff velcro piece. (those dark pieces are the velcro)
-Water resistant:  The inside reminds me of neoprene, soft flexible plastic.  Sweat and rain were my biggest concerns because of my phone, when I checked after a run, the outside by my arm was was wet but when I opened it, nice and dry.  If you want it waterproof they have a bag that you can put your stuff in and put it in any SPIbelt.
-Movement:  Once I got the band in position, it didn't slide at all.  I didn't have to cinch it tight and it stayed in place.  Very nice not to have a tourniquet on my arm while I ran.

All in all, super comfy, holds a lot for it's size, I like it!  Now, the part you have all been waiting for...
